Buggy adventure from Royalton Bávaro Resort & Spa

Overview

Our 4-hour buggy adventure from Royalton Bávaro Resort & Spa is the off-road classic: a convoy of side-by-side buggies through Dominican campo, a stop at a local family house for cigar, coffee and cacao tasting, a swim in a fresh-water cenote, a photo stop at wild Macao Beach, and back to the ranch. Pickup at 8:30 AM at the Royalton Bávaro Resort & Spa lobby in Bávaro, 15–30 min to the Macao ranch. Flat $79 per person (driver), passenger sharing the same buggy is $45, kids 8+ ride as passengers only. Round-trip transfer, the buggy, helmet & bandana, the cenote, the tasting, water and crew tips all included.

Itinerary

1. 8:30 AM

   Lobby pickup at Royalton Bávaro Resort & Spa

   A/C van meets you at the Royalton Bávaro Resort & Spa main entrance in Bávaro. 15–30 min drive to the Macao ranch.

2. ~9:15 AM

   Safety briefing & buggy assignment

   Helmet and bandana, 10-min safety briefing in EN/ES, buggy assignment, convoy lined up.

3. ~9:45 AM

   Off-road through Dominican campo

   Convoy ride through dirt roads, sugar cane fields, small villages. Photo stops, dust, music, and a guide riding ahead.

4. ~10:45 AM

   Cigar / coffee / cacao tasting

   Stop at a local family house. Hand-rolled cigar tasting, fresh Dominican coffee, raw cacao, mamajuana. ~20 min.

5. ~11:30 AM

   Cenote + Macao Beach

   Swim in a fresh-water cenote (15–20 min), then convoy onward to wild Macao Beach for the photo stop with the buggies on the sand.

6. ~1:00 PM

   Drop-off at Royalton Bávaro Resort & Spa

   Back to the ranch, van back to the Royalton Bávaro Resort & Spa lobby — in time for lunch at the resort.
