Starting near the beautiful Macao area, you'll take the wheel of your own buggy and navigate exclusive private trails through rugged terrain, muddy paths and scenic countryside surrounded by tropical landscapes. Along the route, you'll visit a traditional Dominican setting where you'll discover how some of the country's most famous products are made — with tastings of locally produced coffee, chocolate, herbal teas, Mamajuana and other Dominican specialties. Our buggy adventure runs through Macao — the last stretch of untouched countryside north of Bávaro. In 3 hours you cover dusty red-earth trails, a working Dominican farm (cacao, coffee, tobacco), the Taíno cave of Cueva Chiquita for a freshwater cenote swim, and finish at Macao Beach where the local surfers hang out. You drive your own 2-seat buggy — no license needed, but you should be comfortable on a bike or ATV. This isn't a Six-Flags version: you'll get dirty, the buggies are loud, and by the end you'll look like a chocolate cookie. That's the point.
