How the buggy day looks

Hotel pickup, transfer to the buggy base, safety briefing and helmet fitting. Then 2–3 hours behind the wheel: dirt tracks through sugar cane, river crossings, a stop at a local coffee and cocoa farm, and a swim at a remote beach. Back to base for a cold drink and photos, then transfer home.

What's included

Round-trip hotel transfers from Punta Cana, Bávaro, Cap Cana and Uvero Alto; your own 4x4 or 2-seater buggy; helmet and goggles; bilingual guide leading the convoy; stop at a Dominican farm with tastings; beach time with a drink included; fuel and insurance.

What the Macao buggy day looks like

Pickup 8 am, 45-min ride to the Macao ranch, 30-min safety brief and buggy assignment (200cc twin-seat or 500cc 4-seat), 2h trail ride through sugar-cane fields and the Macao cliff line with three stops: a local cacao farm, a freshwater cenote swim, and Macao Beach for a 20-min wade. Back at the ranch by 1 pm, lunch (chicken / fish / vegetarian), home by 3 pm. Expect to be covered in red dust — bring a change of clothes for the van back.

Best time to go

Year-round. Morning slots (08:00–11:00) are coolest and least dusty. Afternoon tours run 13:00–16:00 and are great for photographers — golden light over the cane fields. Rainy days make the trails muddier and more fun.
