A full-day expedition from Punta Cana to the Samaná Peninsula — widely considered the most beautiful region of the Dominican Republic. We cross to Cayo Levantado, the postcard-perfect 'Bacardi Island' with white-sand beaches and crystal-clear water, then head inland to El Limón, a 40-meter jungle waterfall reached by horseback through tropical countryside. The day finishes with a traditional Dominican lunch and a relaxed return to your hotel. From January to mid-March we can swap Cayo Levantado for an unforgettable humpback whale-watching add-on in Samaná Bay. This is the perfect single-day complement to a beach-and-pool resort week — and the easiest way to see why locals consider Samaná the country's hidden gem.

1. 06:00 – 06:30

   Hotel pickup

   Private air-conditioned transfer from your hotel or Airbnb in Punta Cana, Bávaro, Cap Cana or Uvero Alto.

2. 08:30

   Sabana de la Mar port

   Scenic 2-hour drive across the eastern countryside. Light breakfast stop on the way.

3. 09:00

   Speedboat to Cayo Levantado

   30-minute crossing of stunning Samaná Bay — keep your camera ready.

4. 09:45 – 12:00

   Cayo Levantado

   Free time on the famous white-sand 'Bacardi Island' beach. Swim, snorkel, walk the palm-lined coast.

5. 12:30

   Dominican lunch

   Traditional buffet with fresh fish, rice, beans, salad and tropical fruit at a local restaurant.

6. 14:00

   El Limón trailhead

   Short transfer to the Limón ranch. Meet your horse and local guide.

7. 14:30 – 16:00

   El Limón waterfall

   Horseback ride (~25 min) through jungle and rivers, then a short walk to the base of the 40m waterfall. Swim in the natural pool.

8. 17:00

   Return drive

   Comfortable transfer back to Punta Cana.

9. 19:00 – 19:30

   Hotel drop-off

   Back at your resort, full of unforgettable memories.
