Spring Break Hub

Spring Break in Punta Cana

Punta Cana is the easiest spring break in the Caribbean: direct flights from every US hub, all-inclusive resorts that say yes to 10-friend groups, and a party boat scene where 20+ catamarans raft up at a Caribbean sandbar every afternoon for one giant floating party.

The signature experience: the Party Boat

If you do one thing in Punta Cana for spring break, do the party boat. Loud reggaeton and house, an open bar (rum, vodka, beer, Cuba libres — refilled constantly), Dominican lunch on board (chicken, rice & beans, fresh pineapple), snorkel stop, and the sandbar — a knee-deep sand shoal in the middle of the ocean where 15–25 boats park next to each other daily. People jump between boats, the DJs sync up, and it turns into the biggest day party on the island. We can book you on a shared boat (~$75) or charter a private one for your whole crew.

Private party boats for groups of 10–60

If you're rolling 10+ deep, a private charter beats the shared boat every time. You pick the playlist, you control the open bar, you set the schedule, and you still park at the sandbar with everyone else. Private 45-ft catamarans start around $900 for the boat (not per person) for 3 hours all-inclusive — works out cheaper per head than the shared boat once you hit 12 people.

What else to do (besides the boat, every day)

Buggy adventures through cane fields and a freshwater cenote (~$65, half-day, gets messy in a great way). Saona Island full-day catamaran for the iconic starfish-pools photo (~$95). Scape Park's zip lines + Hoyo Azul cenote for the recovery day. Most groups do: arrival → buggy day → party boat → Saona → party boat again → fly home.

FAQ

Common questions

When exactly is spring break in Punta Cana?+

Peak weeks are late February through late March, with the heaviest US college crowd in the first three weeks of March. Weather is perfect: 28 °C, dry, calm sea.

Is it safe?+

Yes. The resort strip, Bávaro beaches, and all licensed excursions are heavily policed and family-friendly even during peak weeks. Stick to booked tours, skip the strangers selling stuff on the beach.

Do I need to book before I land?+

For the party boat in March — yes, 3–5 days ahead. Shared boats sell out by Tuesday for the weekend. Private charters need 7+ days notice.

What's the cheapest way to do spring break here?+

All-inclusive resort + shared party boat + buggy = roughly $1,100 for the week including flights from most US cities. Adding Saona pushes it to $1,200.
