Punta Cana FAQ

What to wear on the buggy tour in Punta Cana?

Wear closed-toe shoes (sneakers, not sandals), a swimsuit under old clothes you don't mind getting muddy, a bandana for dust (we provide one), and sunglasses. Skip white, skip flip-flops. Bring a small dry bag with sunscreen, GoPro, and 100 pesos for cold water.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need long pants?+

No, shorts are fine. Long pants stay cleaner but get hot. Most guests choose shorts + accept the mud splatter.

Should I wear glasses or contacts?+

Contacts + sunglasses is best. The bandana keeps dust off, but tiny particles still drift in. Pack a small mirror and eye-rinse drops just in case.

Can I bring my phone?+

Yes, in a dry bag clipped to the roll cage. Don't put it in your pocket — buggies bounce hard. GoPros on a chest strap survive easily.

Will I really get that muddy?+

In rainy season (May–Oct), yes — head-to-toe. Dry season is mostly dust on shoes/legs. Plan to shower at base camp before the ride back (showers are free).
