How Blue Flag works in DR
Most Dominican Blue Flag beaches are resort-managed strips of Bávaro / Punta Cana / Uvero Alto. Resorts apply jointly with the Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) and the Ministry of Environment (MIMARENA). Audits are annual: bacteriological water sampling every 2 weeks during high season, lifeguard staffing, accessibility, signage, environmental education.
