Punta Cana with Your Group 2026: Every Tour, Booked Privately
Last updated:
Bachelor party, family reunion or company trip — every tour we run also exists as an exclusive private version. No forms, no invented package prices: you send us your group size and date on WhatsApp and get a real quote in minutes. Here's the honest guide from the people who run these tours.
Quick answer: yes, every tour can be private
Short version: if you see a tour on our tours page, we can run it as a private group version — only your people, on your schedule. That applies to the big day trips (Saona, Catalina, Samaná, Santo Domingo) just as much as to the half-day adventures (buggy, party boat, horseback riding, Scape Park).
What changes when you book privately: your own vehicle and driver from the hotel, your own guide, a start time that fits your group, and the freedom to stay longer where you like and skip what you don't. What does not change: the route, the stops, the food and drinks — it's the same tour, just exclusive.
What we won't do here is invent a price list. Private pricing honestly depends on your group size, your date and the season — a private Saona day for 6 in May is a different calculation than for 25 in Christmas week. So we quote every request individually: send us the tour, the number of people and your date on WhatsApp and you'll get a real number back, usually within minutes.
Our honest rule of thumb after years of running both formats: from about 4–6 people upwards, a private version starts making sense. The total is higher than shared tickets, of course — but split across the group, the per-person difference is often smaller than people expect, and you get a private transfer, your own pace and no waiting for 40 strangers at hotel pickups.
From roughly 10 people up, the private option becomes the obvious choice: at that size we can often arrange a dedicated boat section, your own buggy fleet or an exclusive guide team, and the logistics of a shared tour (different hotels, different speeds, different languages) stop being fun anyway.
If you're a couple or a trio, the math usually flips: the shared per-person price is hard to beat, and the groups on our boats are genuinely good company. We wrote a full honest comparison in Private vs Group Excursions in Punta Cana — read that first if you're still weighing it up.
The occasions we see most
Bachelor and bachelorette parties: the party boat is the classic — privately it becomes your own floating party with your music and your pace. Many groups combine it with a buggy morning the next day.
Family trips with kids and grandparents: Saona privately is the one we recommend most here. Kids set the pace, grandparents get shade and breaks when they need them, and nobody has to keep up with a 50-person group. The same logic works beautifully for Catalina if your family snorkels.
Company outings and incentive groups: Santo Domingo with a private guide who adjusts the program to your schedule, or Scape Park with a start time that fits your agenda — both work very well for groups who are on the clock.
Birthdays and reunions: honestly, any of them. The best group days we've run were usually the ones where someone wrote “it's my dad's 60th, what do you suggest?” — tell us the occasion and we'll tell you which tour fits it.
How the quote works (2 minutes, no forms)
There is no booking form and no deposit-by-credit-card machine behind this. It's deliberately simple:
1) Open WhatsApp. 2) Tell us three things: which tour, how many people, which date (roughly is fine). 3) We reply with the price, what's included and the available start times — usually within minutes during the day.
If the number works for you, we reserve the date and you pay as agreed — no invented “private packages”, no upsell funnel. And if plans change: you can rebook free of charge up to 24 hours before the tour. More on smart timing in Should you book excursions before you arrive?
Saona Island (shared from $120 p.p.): private means your own transfer to Bayahibe, your own guide and — depending on group size — a private speedboat or catamaran section, with time on the island at your rhythm. Read the complete Saona guide for what the day itself looks like.
Catalina Island (shared $99 p.p., all inclusive): the same idea on the snorkeler's island — private transfer, your group's pace at the Wall and the Aquarium, your own spot on the beach. Details in the Catalina guide.
Buggy Adventure (shared $55 p.p.) and Horseback Riding at Macao (shared $65 p.p.): privately these become your own convoy or your own riding group — no waiting for slower drivers, photo stops whenever you want.
Party Boat (shared $75 p.p.), Scape Park (shared $129 p.p.), Samaná and Santo Domingo (shared $80 p.p.): all available privately — from an exclusive catamaran session for your crowd to a private capital tour with your own historian-guide.
One honest note so nobody over-expects: on the island tours, “private” always includes your own transfer, guide and schedule. A fully private boat (just your group on the whole boat) is possible for larger groups — ask us and we'll tell you exactly what's realistic for your size and date.
Practical tips from the people who run these days
Start earlier or later than the crowd. The single biggest upgrade of a private day is timing: leaving at 7:00 puts you on Saona before the fleets; a later start suits groups with kids. Tell us what rhythm your group has.
Adjust the stops. More snorkeling, less shopping, a longer beach break, a specific lunch request — private means the day bends around you. For food inspiration, our getting-around guide and the journal's food guides help you plan the rest of the day too.
Nominate one contact person. One WhatsApp thread, one decision-maker — that keeps quotes fast and the booking clean, especially with 10+ people.
